Bio of Pastor Andrew Jackson, Jr.

Pastor Andrew Jackson, Jr. is a native
of Chicago, Illinois, but grew up in
Memphis, TN. He and his wife
Sandra have been married since 1978
and have been residing in the
Dallas/Fort Worth area since 1986. They have 2 sons, Anson and
Griffin, 1 daughter, Leigh, 1
daughter-in-love, Grace and two
grandchildren, Annalise and Drew.
Pastor Jackson is a graduate of the
University of Memphis and holds a BBA in
Marketing. He studied Christian
Education and Evangelism at Mid South
Bible School and attended the Billy
Graham School of Evangelism. Pastor
Jackson has been an ordained minister
since 1975 and has been the pastor of
West Irving COGIC in Irving, Texas since
1998. The ministry has a tutoring
program, computer training classes and a
mentoring program which reaches out and
serves the Irving and Dallas/Fort Worth
area. Pastor Jackson is the President of
Lifting Hands Outreach, a 501 3c
ministry of West Irving Church. The
ministry feeds the homeless, ministers
to the abused and battered women, serves
and teaches the youth of the community
along with many other outreach efforts.
He serves as a volunteer chaplain for
DFW International Airport and has served
in the past as Chairman of the Board for
3 years. He is actively involved with
many community service agencies in the
Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Pastor Jackson works faithfully in both
the jurisdiction and district under the
leadership of Bishop J. E. Hornsby.
He serves as the District Superintendent
of Texas Northeast Tarrant District,
Jurisdictional Youth President,
Executive Board member of the Texas
Northeast First Jurisdiction and
Regional President of the Southern
Central Region Youth Department.
